Operation Filmmaker Goes Science was developed in close collaboration with ersearch scientists and educators as well as media producers and consultants. Both the Center for Integrating Research & Learning and The Character & Heritage Institute have created strong relationships to strengthen connections with community and educational partners.
Advancing through three stages of production necessary to produce a film, students will receive instruction on the theory and the equipment that is involved in filmmaking.
Documentary topics such as global warming (climate change), space exploration, conservation of resources (Go Green), etc. are introduced in order to help young people better understand these difficult concepts.
Ultimately, Operation Filmmaker helps students become intelligent consumers of information so that they become educated on the needs vital to preserve our society.
