The Character & Heritage Institute is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that develops innovative educational programs and products through the arts for individuals, schools, libraries, museums and the community.
Created in 1994 as Rossier Productions, Inc., The Institute is based on the beliefs of Rev. John D. Rossier who came from Switzerland in 1854. Like many who came to America, Rev. Rossier honored his past while learning to put stock in the future. He passed on his wisdom and love for his fellow human beings through his own family and to those whose lives he touched.
The Institute respects this past by facilitating growth and learning through the sharing of ideas and values by promoting history, education and cultural awareness.
Our goals are to:
- Produce programs that educate and inspire.
- Create strong relationships with educational affiliations to influence various awareness issues.
- Enhance character values and leadership roles for the youth.
- Explore elements both here and abroad to assist in building cultural and humanitarian ties.
- Provide a resource center of cultural enrichment for various ethnic groups and native Tallahasseeans.
Our vision is to provide innovative production methods that will edify and empower a source of transformation throughout local and global communities.
